The science

A century-old signal. A new way of listening.

Your brain is always humming with faint electrical activity, right at the surface of your head. Science has recorded it for a hundred years, and read it only shallowly. Hypersigil’s proprietary, AI-enhanced interpretation hears what that signal has been saying all along, including the images held in your mind’s eye.

What is Hypersigil?

Hypersigil is a non-invasive brain–computer interface in development: a wearable headset, paired with proprietary, AI-enhanced interpretation, that measures the images you hold in your mind’s eye from outside the head.

Is Hypersigil a brain implant?

No. Hypersigil is worn, not implanted. There is no surgery and no implant; nothing enters the body. It reads electrical activity (EEG) from the surface of the head.

How is it different from implanted brain–computer interfaces?

Implanted brain–computer interfaces require surgery to place electrodes in or on the brain. Hypersigil listens from the outside, at the surface of the head, with a slim headset you put on and take off.

How does it work?

It records the faint electrical activity at the surface of the head, and our proprietary, AI-enhanced interpretation reads it. The method is the product, so we keep the details to ourselves for now; methods and apparatus are the subject of pending patent applications.
